Shan Koe Mee How to Play Guide

Shan Koe Mee is one of the most popular traditional Myanmar card games, played with 3 cards per hand. Scoring uses only the last digit of the total of the 3 cards — 9 is the highest, and 0 (or 10) is the lowest.

Step-by-Step Gameplay

1. The banker shuffles a full deck of cards thoroughly.
2. Each player and the banker are dealt 3 cards each.
3. Each player adds up their 3 cards and takes only the last digit as the score (e.g. J + 5 + 8 = 23 → score is 3).
4. The player and the banker reveal their cards and compare scores. The higher score wins — if neither beats the other, the banker wins.
5. A player whose score beats the banker's receives double their stake. On a tie, the banker is generally considered the winner (this may vary depending on the table rules).

Special Hands

• Shan Koe Mee (9-9-9 / Pure 9) — All 3 cards are 9, or the 3 cards total exactly 9 — the highest possible hand.
• J-Q-K (Royal / "Picture Hand") — All 3 cards are picture cards — may receive a Special Pay depending on the table.
• Sequence / Run — 3 consecutive cards (e.g. 4-5-6) — may qualify for a special payout.
• Flush / Colors — 3 cards of the same suit — may carry a bonus payout depending on the table.

The Banker Role and How the Bank Works

The banker accepts bets from all players. Any player can take the banker role, and if their bank cannot cover the total bets placed, they may limit the amount each player can bet. The banker role typically rotates according to table rules — once the bank runs out, the role passes to the next player.

Table Strategy and Bankroll Management

Start with a small bank and place equal bets only — never bet more than you can afford. If you are on a losing run, do not chase losses immediately; review your betting record first — this is good table practice.

What Is RTP and House Edge

RTP (Return to Player) is the estimated percentage of total bets that a game is expected to pay back to players. For example — in a slot with 96% RTP, if players collectively wager 1,000,000 Ks, the average amount expected to be returned to them is 960,000 Ks. This does not refer to any individual player's win or loss — it is a statistical estimate based on the combined results of many players playing at the same time.

RTP rates vary by game type — Slots are usually around 92–98%, Blackjack variants around ~99%, Roulette variants around 94–97%. A higher RTP means a lower average House Edge — meaning the casino keeps a smaller percentage of bets over the long run.

House Edge is the percentage of total bets that stays with the casino (100% − RTP = House Edge). Understanding RTP and House Edge helps you make smarter choices about which games to play.

That said, no game can guarantee a win — RTP is an average result over a long period of play, not for a single spin or round. Read about responsible gaming here.

Live Betting and Cash Out — How to Bet During a Match

Live (In-Play) Betting lets you keep placing bets during a football match after it has already started. Unlike pre-match odds, odds shift instantly as in-game events happen — a goal is scored, a player receives a card — giving you a different kind of betting experience.

What is Cash Out

Cash Out lets you settle your bet before the match ends. You can use it when you want to lock in a return or if you feel the match is turning against you. Keep in mind that depending on the odds at that moment, the amount you receive may be less than a full win.

Crash Games — Cash Out Before the Multiplier Drops

In Crash Games, a multiplier starts at x1.00 and gradually climbs. You decide when to hit Cash Out before it crashes — if it crashes before you do, your stake is lost.

Features of Crash Games

• Auto Cash-out — Automatically cashes out when the pre-set Multiplier is reached
• Round History — View a record of the Multiplier at which previous rounds crashed
• Provably Fair — Every round can be verified with a Hash, so you can check for yourself that the game is fair
• High Volatility — Wins can come fast, but so can losses, so set a budget before you play
